Hairy Love is a Design & Care project that explores the issue of body shaming, in particular, the shaming of body hair on women. The project aims to educate the general public on the realities of body hair and the negative impacts body shaming of it has on women. The project also hopes to promote the normalisation of body hair on women as well as encourage hairy women to embrace their body hair.
'hairyloveproject' is Hairy Love's Social Media Design Solution which stands in solidarity with young girls and women around the world struggling with their body hair. The public can share personal experiences they have with their own body hair anonymously, as well as pose with the account's Instagram filter 'Visage Garden', which turns areas of facial hair growth into beautiful floral gardens.
